PICMET’13 is over. Dr. Robert JT Morris, VP
Global Labs, IBM Research, USA, provided a keynote speech, Science, Technology
and Innovation in IT Services, and received Leadership in Technology Management
award. In addition to Robert, Dr. Jim Spohrer at IBM received a fellow award from PICMET.
Service science activities are recognized in technology management area. 
On
7/29, Jim, Yassi, Lou and I had a panel session introducing the InternationalSociety of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP). On 7/30, I presented Creating Knowledge Structure for Service Science at technology management in services session. At the session, the fire warning is started. We suddenly evacuated from the room to the outside at the middle of my presentation. We started the session again. I, it is interesting experience! At the session, other presenters were canceled, and then the session chair, Man Hang Yip, was kindly enough to present her research briefly.
The next PICMET will be held at Kanazawa in
Japan, we hope that more than 300 attendees join us there.
