Today is the first day of the Human Side of Service Engineering research session. From 10:30 to 12:30, Service Innovation Management session started. Six presenters were shared their research.
Prof. Kita talks about the importance of human centric approach, which Japanese industrial companies are losing recently due to the competitive situation. The human centric approach is the combination of CS + ES improvement, so people around a product work with their heart. Prof. Akiyama shared the analysis of healthcare text data. Data from doctors and from nurses show the different information structure. He proposed a framework to integrate those inputs to connected knowledge structure. Dr. Tanninen-Ahonen shared Tekes's latest program results, which focuses on user and employee driven innovation. Prof. Chesbrough gave a talk about open services innovation and a hint to Japanese industry.
